Azalia – a special-purpose vehicle established by BXF Energia, part of the Budimex Group, for the development of a photovoltaic farm with a total capacity of up to 60 MW – has secured project finance funding from mBank. This marks another step in the Budimex Group’s strategic investments in renewable energy sources.
The project will be developed in the Podkarpackie region, near Rzeszów. The financing will support the construction of the power plant as well as the necessary grid connection infrastructure. The loan agreement, signed on May 30, includes an investment loan of PLN 130.5 million, a revolving credit facility for VAT financing, and a guarantee limit. The loan repayment is scheduled over the 16-year operational period of the farm.
By the end of 2025, the Budimex Group plans to have nearly 100 MW of installed capacity in photovoltaic and wind power plants, delivering clean energy both to external clients and for its own needs. The project complies with the EU Taxonomy criteria for sustainable development.
